- You'd like an offset account or to split your loan
When it may not be the right fit
- You're on a fixed rate with large break costs (we'll check this first)
- You're about to sell, so switching costs may not pay off in time
How it works
- Send us your latest statementThat's usually all we need to start.
- We compare it against the marketRate, fees and features, using the comparison rate rather than the headline rate.
- We ask your current lender firstSometimes your lender will reprice to keep you, which saves the hassle of switching.
- Switch, then review every six monthsIf moving is worth it, we handle the application and settlement. After that, Aayushi reviews your rate every six months.
Things worth knowing
The comparison rate tells you more
It includes most fees and charges, so it's a fairer way to compare loans than the headline rate.
Switching has costs
Discharge fees, government registration fees and sometimes lenders mortgage insurance if your equity is under 20%. Our refinance calculator shows how long the saving takes to cover them.
A longer term lowers repayments but can cost more
Refinancing onto a new 30-year term drops your repayments, but you may pay more interest overall. We show you both before you decide.
Documents you'll usually need
- Photo ID
- Six months of home loan statements
- Your two latest payslips
- Three months of bank statements
- Your latest council rates notice
- Statements for any other debts
We'll confirm exactly what your lender needs, so you don't gather anything twice.

Questions
How often should I review my home loan?
At least once a year. We review our clients' rates every six months and ask lenders to reprice when they fall behind the market.
Will refinancing affect my credit score?
A credit enquiry is recorded when you apply, which can have a small effect. We only lodge an application once we've agreed it's worth doing.
How long does refinancing take?
Often two to six weeks from application to settlement, depending on the lender and how quickly documents come in.
